Hi.
My hair is naturally dark brown. Over the years i've had streaks put it in. The other day i had enough of my dark roots, so i wanted to dye all my hair lightbrown. As usual it went dark dark brown almost black. i hated it.
The next day i dyed it with a lighter colour hoping it would go lighter. Still no luck.
Does any body know any quick solutions to getting my hair light brown??
Please help.

My natural hair color is dark brown and I've died my hair A lot!! To get light drown you can use bleach but keep checking after 10 mintues every 5 minutes until you get to the color you want! It may take more than time, like if you don't dye your hair often then it may take longer.

In order to go from dark to light brown without the red/orange tones, you will need to pre-lighten your hair and then apply the desired color. To avoid a hair disaster, you might consider getting it professionally done.

Have you tried cinnamon? Add some cinnamon, honey, and a little bit of olive oil to your conditioner to make a pudding like texture. And thoroughly to damp hair right before you go to bed. Place it in a bun and put plastic wrap around it, then a sleeping cap and scarf. In the morning rinse it out, probably will need some shampoo. Your hair may come out a couple shades lighter. Its completely safe for your hair and you can do it as many times as you need and keep it in as long as you need.you can also use chamomile tea :) Freshly brewed chamomile tea is an excellent home remedy to lighten dirty blond and light brown hair without causing any damage. Brew a strong pot of tea by allowing at least thirty minutes for the tea to steep. Allow the tea to cool, and then add a few tablespoons to your conditioner and put the rest in an empty shampoo bottle. When bathing, wash your hair with the tea instead of your normal shampoo, and then condition with the chamomile conditioner mix. Air dry your hair by sitting in the sun if possible. Like lemon juice, chamomile tea slowly changes the pigment of your hair so don't expect extreme results after one application. However, the tea has no potential to dry or damage hair so feel free to use it daily until you achieve the results you want.
