I have a Hi-Off-Lo switch w 3 leads and a 2 conductor cord w/ground.


Finally my question

Would someone show me how to wire this motor to have 2 speeds and off in the middle?
Where do I connect the 3 leads from the Hi-Off-Lo switch and the black and white from the cord.

You will need to run your power cord to switch.
Then run 4 conductor from Switch to motor.(Maybe, Red, White, Black, and Green).
The whites connect together at switch.
The greens connect together at switch, and switch housing/enclosure?
The black from 3 wire power cord, connects to center terminal of switch.
The red and black(high and low) that go to motor, connect to outer 2 terminals of switch.
The motor may have diagram under wire connection cover, or on motor.
Green goes to motor ground, white to motor neutal, and red and black go to high and low connections. Hard to say without diagram. Westinghouse site very large.
Don't know your use, May want to use momentary switch for safety?

The power cord is wired this way ( 1 speed)

The White and Black stay where they are and the RED goes to post #2

That would be my guess. I would(with cord unplugged) remove black wire and place
On #2, plug in and try, Note if speed is faster, or slower. Then hook up like first post.
If you wanted to be really safe. Turn off breaker, plug in, turn breaker on, be ready to turn off. I think it will work fine.
