I have been on the Nuvaring for a little over a year.. Recently, 5 days after removing it, I started what I thought was my period, but was only 3 days worth of EXTREMELY light spotting. This has never happened before- usually after taking out the ring I start within a day or two, and usually have a heavier flow. Is there any other possible answer to this situation besides pregnancy..

Birth control can often cause your periods to be very light at times. I have never been on the NuvaRing but when I was taking oral contraceptives my period was often very light. More than likely this was your period but I would take a HPT just in case. If this still concerns you then I would advise that you contact your doctor. Good luck and I hope all goes well.
