I share an apartment with four people. Recently we kicked one out because she lied many times and wasn't paying her rent (nor had any income).

She left many things here, and for about a week refused to come get them. She called and complained until her ex (also roommate) got fed up and took about 3 bags of cloths and dishes TO HER, because she wouldn't come get it.

Ends up, she left a printer and some other small things here and wants them back. She refuses to come get them, yet again. We have classes and Jobs, so we tell her to call and make sure we are here. All she does is say "give me my stuff"

My question is: How long until we should just toss the stuff? Its been nearly two months since she moved out.

I would like to get rid of it now, but I don't want to get into legal trouble.

Pack them in trash bags and put them outside the door. That way you're not held liable, she can't accuse you of stealing her things, AND you get her sh_t out of YOUR place

Take her stuff, pack it all up, and just take it all to her. Have a list ready for to sign, saying she received the items. Date and sign. You keep the original and she gets a copy. End of story.

If you do not want to do that, which I agree is a hassle, talk to your sheriff's department and ask what they would do. I do not know the law where you live. But if I were you, I would just pack the stuff up, take it to her, be nice as you can be (no snideness or rudeness - you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar) and be done with her.

Good luck.
