I recently wanted to dye my hair back to its natural color which is dark brown. So, I bought a dark brown colour and now my hair is almost black! The color matches perfect to my natural roots but the father I go down my hair the darker it gets. My question is how can I lighten my hair so it looks a little more like my natural color? And should I use the color zap to strip out the color? If so, what color will it come out looking like? PLEASE HELP!!

If you use Color Zap, you will end up with orange or beige undertones. When you try to lighten dark hair with a permanent color, it will result in reddish tones. Your current hair color is only a level darker than your natural hair color. Remember that permanent hair color gradually fades each time you shampoo. I recommend that you use shampoos, such as Prell, dandruff shampoos or clarifying shampoos to help fade the color. You can also use dish detergent to accelerate the fading process. Be sure to use a conditioner afterwards to restore moister in your hair. But if you don't see any results, go to the salon and have them do a corrective color.
