 Hello, I actually have a question about Probation Violation. My cousin was just arrested last night after police arrested him for a warrant. We didn't know why he was getting arrested as he did not either. The we realized it could have been a ticket that was not paid.
My question is Is that possible that he is in probation violation for a ticket that was not paid and will he possibly go to jail?

Not likely, he would have been given a chance to go to court and refute the ticket. He had to have been in trouble and went before a judge before he could have been given probation. You may want to get on your courts website and do a name search and see what they have him listed in violation of.

It would not be a probation violation, it would be a warrant issued for not paying the ticket and not being in court on the day court was in session. Unless there is something else here your cousin did not tell you.

If he was arrested then it is Violation or Probation.. If you come into police at all even if it is a speeding ticket it is VOP..
