View Full Version : Always left out

I always feel left out at school, sure there's always that group of people that I hang around with from time to time, but they never tell me anything, its only listening to them during the lunch tables and stuff that I find out myself. Then I'd just go "Oh you guys are going to ____"
And from other times, I ask them to go see a movie or something, they mostly tell me they've already seen it (with each other).
I'm not big on secrets, but everyone always seems to know that secret that most people I hang out with do except me. When I ask about it they usually refuse to tell.

It sounds like you need to find some friends who are more into the same kinds of things that you are. People that aren't willing to share in things with you would not seem to be real friends, in my opinion.
I would suggest getting involved in a club or group concerning things about which you are interested. If you do, I am sure that you will find friends there who will be willing to share with you and do things with you.
That is my opinion anyway, based upon the information that you have given.
If you give us more information about the things that you like to do for fun and also study, it would help in giving you an answer that will really help you based upon who you are.

Hello.
The answer yo your question is simple... Find yourself and others will follow. I know your saying what is this B.S.
If you like yourself others will like you. If your doing something fun others will want to join in. Its as simple as a smile, if you smile when others see your smile they smile also. Its catching and so is how you feel about yourself.
The question should be what do I really want for myself to make me happy.
Good Luck

Sounds like you need some new friends. Everyone goes through this. I didn't "find myself" until my junior/senior year of high school. I enjoed writing, so I joined a creative Writing club, and had a whole new group of friends (some of which I'm still in contact with 5 years after graduation). Best of luck to you, hun.

Hey, well I agree for all the posters above. You need to get some new friends, it's not worth being attached to people who won't spill stuff or for that matter hang out with you. I know how you feel, I still go through it sometimes, in my school the remainder (which is a big one) of people in my grade are all friends and Im not really friends with some of those people. All you have to do is find people through things you enjoy and than you will bond over that and other stuff too. Just get out of the social scene your in babe.
Good luck, we have all been through it.

High school is the most confusing place to be. There's so much nastyness and back stabing and just plain old getting hurt. If you want to fit in you have to open up and talk to people. They WILL NOT come to, if you want good friends you have to make them yourself, talk to people, invite people out to partys etc. Yea you will get leaft out a lot but the only way to stop that is if you involve yourself, don't let yourself be leaft out, your just as good as everyone else at that school.
