Can I put a dimmer or a adapter to cause the lights on this unit to dim?

Sure, just figure the Max, probably 5X60 Watts Max(300 Watts Total) Most Dimmers start at 300 then 600 watts and higher. 52 watt bulbs would be easier on dimmer and wallet.

ONLY if you have the light wired separate from the fan. You can also use a remote kit.
