A spider is making his net under the roof. He is so diligent. He has seen many people under the roof. They talked, hugged, complained, cried, kissed, and missed each other. The spider now understand many worldly things. He is still diligent on his own task. An old man one day asks him, "You have been here for years and have seen many smiles and tears in people's life. I have a question to you. What is the most valuable to a person?" The spider answers, "One is what a person could never get; the other is what a person has lost." The old man smiles and says to the spider, "I would come back to you someday and ask you this question again."

One day, a dew drops on the net. She is so pretty, transparent and pure. The spider likes her very much. He wants to share his harvest, a beautiful net with her, and he wants to tell her many stories he has seen. But suddenly a gust of wind blow the dew away. The spider is sad. The old man come to him again, and asks him, "What is the most valuable to a person?" The spider is in silence for a while, and answers that," It is what a person is possessing." The old man smiles. He says to the spider, "You are right. Next life, I will let you be a person. Please cherish what you are having."
