Hi,

When flushing the toilet, the bowl is full with water but the tanks is empty. When releasing the lever to flush the toilet neither the water in the bowl is released or does the tank fill with water, can you please advise what is causing this and how I can fix this trouble bymyself.

Fill valve needs replaced... Make sure you turn off water to toilet -- and get all water out
Of tank before you start... Good Luck

Are we to believe that the only answer to a faulty ballcock is to replace it?
A Fluid Master ballcock will give the same symptoms if the washer's swelled shut. Here we give the asker options. You didn't give the asker any except replacment. I gave the option of repair or replacement. What's your problem with that?

Some people do not have your level of experience
--- not mechanically inclined...

How do you show them if they are not on the same page?

Yes sir I have a 2 piece elongated toilet Aqua flush It has a 400a fluidmaster anti-siphon design.The toilet is about 2 yrs old . It is getting where it will not fill back up. I read somewhere that you can flush the toilet cut the water off and then take the top of the fill valve off and place a cup or rag over the top where water won't gush everywhere turning the water off and on in spurts to clean trash or grit out that may be stopping the fill valve from working properly.Is this good information?
