My mom is 80 years old and she is always hot, she is uncomfortable wearing anything but loose fitting light cotton. It can be cold outside and she is still warm and is very sensitive to the heat and high Temp. We live in a temperate climate in Southern CA. She has has tests for her thyroid -> normal, and been to MD. Never had any female surguries and is way past memopause, but it is like she is stuck in hot flashes, any ideas for her to explore to become more comfortable?
Thanks

I don't have an answer for you. But, I care about your question being answered. I am posting a response so that your question might be more towards the top of the list of questions to be answered, and thus, maybe more likely to be answered by someone who can give you a good answer.

Thank you, I have looked it up on the web and all the replies seem to be related for menopause. However this is continuous, it is puzzling and uncomfortable.
Thanks again

Here is a link that I tried for a search on what you are asking about: elderly hot flashes - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=elderly+hot+flashes). Something there may be helpful to you.

If not, I would suggest private messaging the following person on this site. J_9. She does know her stuff.

Here is the link to her page and the private messaging option is on that same page. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/members/j_9.html
