Reduce the size of the photo. If you have XP then try this: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
It only takes a few seconds to install, and there is no icon shortcut created. Instead it is added to your system right-click context menu for image files in Windows Explorer.

What was the file type of the file (the 3 character extension tells you). For example BMP files are very large, while JPGs are compressed. There are several different ways of reducing the size of a image file. Reducing the color depth, resolution, size, etc can make the file smaller.
Another thing you can look at is sending it from a different service. Many e-mail services have limits on the size of attachments. You can get a free Yahoo account that will allow a 10 Mg attachment.

Hi,
Do you have a photo/image program?
Such as Microsoft Picture It 2000 or whatever?
If so, open that program, then open the photo.
Choose "save as", then choose "save as for the web".
This will reduce the size of the photo, from say 1 Mb down to about 300 Kb or maybe even less.
If you are going to be emailing photos, you really need a photo/image program.
Best wishes,

Jim,
Find out if the person you're sending the picture to has Instant Messenger... it's less of a pain to send files through that than Email. If they don't have IM, try zipping the file through Winzip.
