I have been living in my current home for about 4 years now and for some reason my central a/c is producing a much larger amount of water than it has in previous years. Do you think there is a problem? If so what can I do about it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Does the house feel more humid than previous years? How exactly do you know how much water is being removed, are you watching the drain?

If I can ask, how do you know it's producing more condensation ? Is the overflow pan filling (near the coils, blower)? Or do you just notice the outflow of water at the drain on the exterior of you home? This info may help me and others give you an answer.

I have a Coleman 3200 series furnace. When I run my air conditioner the water drips "alot" from the back of the unit. The bottom under the unit gets soaked and my floor underneath is getting damaged. I have a mobile home. Can you help?? I can see the unit drip from the back but can not see where it is coming from?

dtesi, It may be a good idea if you start your own thread. I will try to help, Have you checked to make sure the drain isn't plugged? Is it possible the coil is freezeing due to a dirty filter? Do you see any ice build up on the outside of the furnace or copper lines? How is the airflow from the registers? This may also be a bad coil pan that is leaking.

Next to my outside unit where the drain outlet is, I have a drip bucket of sorts. This year it is staying full, in previous years the water level seemed to always be a good deal lower. The house doesn't seem to be more humid, the only thing that has changed for sure from previous years is the fact that I recently installed a digital thermostat. I guess my question is basically, how much water should it be producing? It is a small brick home (1100 sq ft), not sure of the a/c size, I think maybe a 2.5 ton.
