I have water dripping from the bottom of my State Select Water heater and was hoping to get some guidance on what it could be and what I have to do to fix it (if possible). I wasn't sure if I had to disconnect everything to get at the problem or what. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Look for any type of water leak at the top of the heater among the joints used to connect it. Check the threads where the pop-off valve screws into the heater, do the same where the drain valve screws into the heater. If this is a gas fired water heater remove the front door off the heater and see if you can see any water in the door area, put your fingers in the door and touch the bottom to see if it is damp. If you have water in this area it is more than likely that your tank is leaking and you will need to replace the entire water heater.

This seems silly for me to add but check to see that it is not rain water if it is raining.
