I do not know what you mean when you say "Floter", but if your shopping for health insurance, try calling an agent you already deal with such as the agent for your auto ins, home or renters or life insurance, ask friends that perhaps you know that are self employed, contact the Blue Cross/Shield Plan for your state, get several quotes. try the yellow pages. Get a feel for what types of expenses you want covered, your tolerance for higher deductibles.

Yes, sorry but I am a licensed health insurnce agent and I have no idea what a "floter" policy is.

Do you need a temp policy while you are between policies ?

But besides your age, your zip code, and most certainly your health. Will make a difference.
But as noted contact several agents and compare what they can do.
For example the companies I do, specialise in higher risk that many other companies will turn down. But I broker some that will only insure people in perfect health. ** if you are in TN I would be glad to give you a quote.

But "options" will depnd on what company, and more.
