PC Crashing, I got Pentium D 2.66ghz 80gb hard disk, 512 ram (all good I mean) some months back. Now it crashes occasionally and unlike usual system crashes it doesnot restart. Monitor says no signal and computer is not restarted andi cannot turn it on with its power button. The only solution is to turn the main switch off and then turn it on again, this makes it restart with scan disk in the beginning. I ran all the tools I knew to keep it running smoothly. I have stabilizer and my two pcs runs on it (one at a time) this crashing doesnot happen with my other system. Please help me out I am worried about my brand new PC

Your RAM's a little low but that doesn't sound like the problem

What power supply is in there?

Power supply is by the brand VIPER it is a local branded machine. Ram is not too low, that system is used to run internet or tiny stuff like flash games and MS office. I have the same 512 ram on the system I am writing from, and I used Photoshop CS@ flash 8 and play games like NFS Most wanted, they run good on it, so ram is not a problem. Please help

Sounds like a powersupply problem to me.. try searching on Google for it and see if there are any reviews or similar problems to yours with it.

It sounds like a flaky power supply to me also.

Something else you can check is to ensure that the heatsink/fan is seated properly. If your using the stock fan heatsink, those push-pins may seem tight at first, but they can work loose, if their not "locked" properly.
