I took a HPT yesterday and I got a positive result (and boy how positive... test line was darker than the control line... lol) umm... I was 3 weeks late, so I guess it makes sense now!

The thing is, I used to keep miscarrying, this is the longest I've ever held an embryo in me. I have no idea what to do next. I'm not even sure if I want to keep it. If there is anyone out there who has had an abortion... I was hoping they might want to share their story with me? Do I need to see a doctor or something about now? I'm 7 and half weeks along.

I'm all alone on this one... I have no one I can talk to about it... my partner is too far away.

Thank You

Why wouldn't you want to keep something that finally went right? What you want to do now is eat correctly, avoid alcohol and pills, and carry on with your life in a normal way. If you have specific questions, ask!

(There are lots and lots of couples who can't have children and are waiting for a baby, in case you might want to consider giving it up.)

How old are you might I ask? Do you have insurance or will you need medical help? First and foremost, go to a local pharmacy and buy some prenatal vitamins... doesnt matter what kind, they are all the same. You can get them over the counter. Then start reasearching the options best for you.

True to that... but it just seemed to go right at a very wrong time... lol... but I guess there never really is the right time... is there? I don't think I could give it up for adoption... I don't not want it that bad :)

Angel, I'm 27, I have full health insurance, as well as being in australia we have an outstanding public system as well... The father and I haven't been together very long... we're still together, but I had to move away... so I live 2000kms away from him at the moment.

Thanks so much for your answers... :)

OK. Well that makes a difference. We get a lot of young girls here, so it helps me help you when things are clarified.

I would say, that since you are getting closer to your 30's you need to decide if you are really wanting children. It will get progrssively harder to conceive as you get older.

If you are not financially ready, no one ever is, you can always make it work.

If you are not mentally or physically ready to care for a child, adoption and abortion are options, but you will not get a preference for one or the other from me. Both of these are life changing events - no matter what anyone tells you, They will BOTH haunt you not just abortion as many people think.. You need to research and decide exactly which one is best for you.

Good luck
