I have a split foyer home with a ceiling fan in the Foyer area. Last week my wife before going to bed left the ceiling fan on. The next morning it was off with no power to it or our front Porch light and outside outlet on our front porch. I went down and tried resetting the breaker by flipping the switch with no luck. The outside outlet is a GPI outlet and I went out and tried pushing the buttons on that to see if that would change anything. It didn't. I have tried to see if the breaker in the wall panel in the basement was bad by switching it out with another breaker and that didn't solve the problem. Im wanting help or advise of what I should do next, or what could be the possible problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I would get a Meter or "Wiggy" and test at each breaker, then start at the Porch light switch box, and hunt for voltage, Could be in fan box(vibrated loose)
If you are handy with meter. Bring extension cord near switch box with known good hot and neutral. Then, with tester should be able to determine if hot or neutral is lost.
If both hot and neutral both lost, possibly tripped GFI. If 1 is lost, then not GFI problem.

A voltmeter would be very helpful. You can test at the various locations to see if it is the hot or the neutral that is open. It could also be a bad breaker.
