Hello jessie:

Hire a CPA for your new business. He'll get your books set up just right, and HE knows what kind of licenses you need and where to get them in your town.

I am sorry, but what sort of business license?

If it is just a busienss license, you go down to the city hall ( or county courthouse) and pay them the cost of a new license, and they check to be sure your business is located in a properly zoned area and they issue you a license.

If you want a professional license, board of pharamacy, medicare sales, you have to apply and be inspected.

If you are serving food you have to get a

Permit from the board of health, and so on.

I am sorry but long before one pays to get incorporated, they should have a business plan and know exactly what it takes to do their business.

I recently came upon a company that is based in Airmont, NY and you can obtain over 50,000 applications for permits, licenses and.... They have almost every city, county and state form from all over the United States of America! Their website is Business License, Get Every Business License Online 845-369-8799, California (CA) Business License, Florida (FL) Occupational License, Washington state Business License (http://www.businesslicenses.com)
Enjoy and Good luck!
