What are some things that you had the biggest problem with.
What will help deal with the pain..

I know this is a fashionable thing to do, but think about this -- the way you talk will change (you will sound like there's a marble rolling around in your mouth), you may have problems with infections, the tongue stud may crack teeth and break them, and food will get stuck in the hole. I will advise against it, but then I'm a fuddy-duddy with only pierced ears.

I had mine done a few years ago and have since taken it out. I didn't think that it hurt but I have a high threshold for pain. The biggest problems I remember were trying to eat for the first few days after getting it done because your tongue is so swollen that you can't fit anything in your mouth. Oh yeah and biting it accidentally because you won't be used to it being there, that kind of hurts.

Some pointers:
Don't drink any beer for the first week to 2 weeks, the yeast in the beer could cause a yeast infection in your mouth.
Don't use any 14kt barbells in your mouth, it causes your breath to stink badly!!
Don't change it for probably 2 weeks, I tried after a week and thought I wasn't going to get it back in because it was still swollen.

Hi,I've had my tongue peirced since I was 14 and I'm now 20 the only thing that I couldn't get on with was eating because the bar they put in a well big because your tongue swells but not for long but you soon get used to it

I had my tongue pierced and an hour later I ate a big mac. Didn't hurt when it was done.
hurt a little the next day, I got sum sandwich bags and put a little water at the corner and froze it, so that I could suck on it to ease the swellin and re freeze.
