1. Depending on the pericing parlor, yes it is an option.
2. It depends on your pain tollerance and your skin. It's told that you're belly button is the most sensative place to be peirced. (Although, that may not be true.)
3. Yes, but you would have to wait until your belly button pericing has healed. When you first get a pericing, it should be sergical steel.
Hope this helped.

From what I understand, using a gun isn't a good idea, and is a sign the piercer isn't experienced. I would opt for the needle.
It hurts, but like Rockabilly said, it depends on your pain tolerance. When I had mine done (oh so long ago) the clamp they used to pinch the skin up hurt more than the needle.
Again, as Rockabilly says, surgical steel needs to be used for the initial piercing and kept in until it heals. After that you can put in any material you like.
Please tell me you are asking this because you are of age and want to do it properly, not because you are underage and have access to a piercing gun and some gold hoops...

A gun is a really bad idea.. it gets infected easier! I got mine done with a clamp and the pain really didn't affect me! Its easy to tolerate the pain.. ive mine done a week and its all red around the ball at the top and its tender to touch.. it may look really nice but the after pain and constntly looking after it is not worth it..
