Hello, After reading a few hundred posts and still not knowing what to do for sure I guess I'll have to ask speedball his millionth basement bathroom question. ;) Anyway, I'm putting in a shower/lav/toilet in a "un-roughed" basement. I know that I would like to use a studor vent but am unsure of the setup. Most of the stuff I have read have had them in order.. example; lav|shower|toilet, but my grouping is in a odd order. Could you please look at my diagram and tell me if either setup would work, or wich would work better. Thanks in advance. -Brian

Both layouts have the shower and lavatory draining into each other.
You must maintain the flow twards the main. The top layout would be acceptable if the shower were to enter the lavatory drain with the flow.
That means reversing the wye and connecting the shower with two 45's. However that would leave you with a return bend in the drainage. While in some cases it's necessary we try to avoid installing return bends in our drainage layouts. Also I would like to see some measurments between fixture traps and the vent. Regards Tom

Go with the top layout only connect the shower reversing the wye and connecting into the lavatory drain with two 45's. That would leave you with a return bend in the drainage but in this case it's unavoidable. To lay it out any other way you would have to move some fixtures. Regards, Tom
