My son bought a used PSP version 1.5. Since the previous owner left some junks into the BIOS/Firmware, he tried to clean it up and probably by accident remove too much stuffs. Now the PSP won't come up, when he power it up, the power light (green) come up, but nothing on the screen, after approximately 20 seconds, the PSP shut down by it sefl.

What is the solution. How can I restore the original firmware, etc...

If some experts is out there, please advice/help.

Thanks

The PSP your son has is at a state where computer people would call it "bricked" the symptoms of a bricked PSP are just like your son's PSP, you can send it to SONY and if that doesn't work, buy a new one.

That's not going to do it
If its version 1.5 and its been messed with, that goes against Sony's warranty/policy or w/e and you can't return it

Oh and there is a way to undo that
I heard that if you have a pandora battery it can "ressurect" your psp from that, but I think you need some magic memory stick.
