Can metal studs be used in a basement setting where there is no water problem?

Ive Used Them Before, They Take A Little Longer To Install But Your Walls Are Straight, Keep In Mind When Your Doing Your Trim Shooting Trim Nails Want Work As Well. We've Always Used Trim Screws.
And Im Not Totally For Sure But They May Be Galvanized. Ive Only Used Them On Commercial Work, Which Were Concrete Floors And There Was No Problem.
You Should Be Fine

I don't see any reason that you cannot from a structural point of view. But no water doesn't exclude moisture. Be sure to prime and paint with a moisture resistant paint. A galvanized dip from a local company would be best. If in a few years if rust starts to bleed through that will be the beginning of a long process of possible failure.
