Hello:
My wife and I purchased a Sony Handycam dvd-rw. The salesperson at the store told us to purchase along with it Sony dvd-rw mini-discs that hold 1.4GB. Anyway….. to get to the point. After shooting the birthday party I finalized the cd as instructed to do. I then put that minidisk into my computers cd/dvd drive and downloaded all the .vob files into a folder on my desktop. If I open a program such as “Cyberlink Power DVD” or “Realplayer and go to File | Open and double click on the first .vob file it starts to play. If I try to do this in Microsoft Media Player nothing happens.
Anyway…my real issue is how can I get those .vob files changed into a file format that most cd players will play? And how do I get it onto a regular dvd-cd disc?
I hope you understand what it is I am trying to do here. I am not the best at explaining these technical things. I have been all over the help files on the internet and on Sony’s site yet the "tech speak" is a little too much for me. Is there any way you can break it down for me? Is there a program I can buy that will help me that you can recommend?
Thanks for your time.
