I wired our phone lines 10 years ago so that I could have 2 phone lines. Now I am having a third line added. How do I rewire an existing phone line for the third line. I just want to replace an existing fax/computer line with a dedicated computer line. I only need to do the one outlet next to the computer. Help! Pumpkin

As far as I know, if you ran a regular 4 wire cable, you have no choice except to run another cable to the third phone, or at least to the closest phone and use the existing cable if it is already run to the further phone. Somebody posted a great link to phone wiring on another question recently. Poke around and see if you can find it.
What are the 3 lines plus internet service costing you? Do you have DSL or cable internet available? If so, you may want to look into VOIP. The whole thing including high speed internet, complete local phone, and unlimited long distance should run less than $100 a month for voice, fax, and computer. My complete bill for one phone line and high speed internet is $72 a month. See www.vonage.com.

With one cable connection, and a 4 port router, we can be surfing the net on 3 computers and talking on the phone at once.
