Hi, I have never used this site before, but thought I might give it a try.

Six days ago, Saturday, I fell into a bush by a deserted building while walking (not sure if it's relevant), and on Monday I woke up with 2 bites on my lower back. I scratched them, since I assumed it was just bug bites. It is now Friday and I have about 12 bites on my lower back! I also have a small area on my face (left side) that is tender (and slightly resembles the bites on my back) and one bump on my left eyelid. I also have a bite on my stomach by my belly button and one below my left breast! They look JUST like bug bites but have very strong itchy periods worse than any bite I have ever had... I can't seem to believe I have been bitten that many times in one week by a simple mosquito.

I rarely get bug bites unless I am outdoors in the woods for long periods. I do have 7 animals, and have not seen any fleas on them, nor are they allowed on the bed or couches. My boyfriend has had NO bites at all to compare these to. I am wondering if this is a rash or bites and if there is anything I can do to get rid of them! I would really love any advice, because I hate to pay a $30 co-pay at the doctor just for him to say "there is nothing I can do, its just bug bites". I am a 21 year old female, that has very few to no allergies. I do have a history of Shingles, but the way the spots appear all over make me believe it is not an outbreak. Any other information needed, please let me know!

Sounds like a flea bite. I would contact your doc for a prescription cream.. you can try over the counter benadryl and benadryl cream (be careful not to get it in your eyes)

If it were flea bites, wouldn't my boyfriend have bites too? I wear long pants and a T-shirt to bed because I get cold easily, and he sleeps in just boxers because he is hot natured. That is one of the main reasons I was thinking it was a rash of some sort, instead of something in the bed...

Not necessarily, women usually fall prey to them before men do. We had an infestation recently and out of 4 people in the home I am the only that got bit. I would try the benadryl or benadryl cream, be careful because you cannot use them together. I am not sure about where you are, but there is a serious gnat outbreak in Illinois where I live. They bite terribly and will usually go for any exposed skin. The itch like crazy and it isn't uncommon to have a cluster of bites in one area. DON'T SCRATCH!
