We don't have the money to take my puppy to the vet this week and I can't find a vet that will let me pay next week and they won't tell me anything without seeing her, she is 5 months and is acting normal she just keeps throwing up white vomey vomit I don't know what to do

How long has this been going on and how often?

Basically if its not just one time I would say you really would have to find a way to take him to the vet, there really isn't anything you can give him.

You really should get your puppy to a vet as soon as you can. I sure someone else here will have better advise for you but just wanted to let you know about something to watch for that my puppy had and that was how it started.

Just adding, this sounds like what my cat got, distemper. I looked and dogs can also get distemper. I'm not a vet but read the symptoms and if it sort of matches it could actually be something very serious.

Fomey vomit is a sign of a parasitic infection my pup had it to. As a dog owner you have a responsibility to care care of your pup. And when he is ill it is your responsibility to beg, borrow or steal to get him the help he needs. If you let it go, worst case sinario can lead to death if not treated you can be charged with animal cruelty and or neglect. Go to your local aspca explain your situation and see what you can do.

Maybe you should think twice about having a pet now since you funds are so tight!

As it is only a pup can I ask hw long he has been sick for and is it mainly after meals are a drink of water,

There is a condition called megasophaugus (sorry abut the spelling) which basically a problem with the ausophagus where the muscles lose their strength which causes the asophegus t dialate, this prevents the dog from bieng able to eat fod and drink prperly, serious cases can't eat anything at all and liquidised is often difficult to keep down, however in milder cases they can swallow and digest some but vomit shortly afterwards,

I hope this isn't the case but it seems to be quite a common occurrence this last year or so..

There are however numerous other things that can cause a dog to vomit from bacteria, parasitic, parvo etc etc

But it does need checking out by a proper vet..

Does keeping a vomiting puppy at home and untreated seem fair? Since most dogs and cats are unable to seek employment hinders a few health concerns. My first question to pet owners with puppies that are vomiting are these,,

When did it start?
Can't you locate all his chew toys?
Has he been Vaccinated not by someone who told you they did, but by you personally! Those people that say they did usually aren't the most honest people I have noticed.
What is in the vomit?
These questions limit how many tests and where to start. In america most common especially non vaccinated puppies is parvo. Left untreated not a pretty sight for anyone to partake, or for the puppy have to endure. In english all the tissue lining from the back of his tung to the end of his bum slowly fall off in chunks of blood and fluid.
Best case is he had some tummy ache and will only make a little mess in the house. Long an short of all this is, he needs a Vet no mater what the outcome, If you can't afford to do this, you had better find that puppy a job. Its not his fault he is broke and can't drive!
