I've been wondering for a long time what this candy is called... it was in the early 80's, I think each piece was a circle, maybe pastel colored, fruity flavored but not overpowering, I think the texture was like the candy AirHeads. I'm also not sure if it's a foreign candy, but I have searched everywhere... anyone know??

I only know the Necco Wafers - they were round and pastel colors and different flavors but not overpowering.

Mentos? They came in fruit flavor and were soft on the inside. They originate out of the Netherlands (says wikipedia).

No, I know its not mentos either, I want to say it was larger and flatter, or maybe flat on one side & rounded on the other. Maybe it was a fruit treat like rollups, not sure, or could've been part cookie, but I don't think so

Chewy SweetTarts? They are about the size of a silver dollar and are sweet and chewy... :)

Bottlecaps are something I remember from my childhood. They were round but not soft and came in fruit flavors as well as root beer. I distinctly remember trading for the root beer ones. They came in a bag like M&Ms, if I remember correctly.

I've been thinking more on this and it may also have been filled with a fruity jam or something

If it's part cookie, it could be those Knotsberry Farm fruit shortbread cookies. The fruit on the cookie was dried and kind of taffy like. Here's a picture for you.

If it's not part cookie and it does have some kind of jam-y fruit center, perhaps it's gushers? Here's a picture of that too!

Hope this helps!
