I've read the posts on shaving cats and have recently tried shaving my long haired cat. I've had her shaved in the past by a groomer, but they usually have to give her a light sedative plus the cost is high. She seems to be more relaxed when I do the trimming.
I got a Wahl trimmer set and find myself having to make several passes with them. I've heard mention of Oster trimmers. Anyone have specific model(s) that they would recommend?
Thanks!

I like "wahl" but there are several quality makers of clippers.

You have a good clipper already for the task at hand, an keep in mind regardless of the make of clipper, in shaving long haired cats it is tipical to for several passes frequently keeping the blade oiled to reduce heat an avoid burning the cat. Usually the burn makes um a tad upset and remember that burn every time they hear the sound of clippers making it a challenge in the future.
