My husband and I are wanting to have a baby. I had my tubes tied 7 yrs ago and have already looked into having it reversed, not an option my ob/gyn told me. My only option is in vitro.
What are the costs, procedures, side effects to meds, and time frame, when it comes to in vitro?

I believe you have mentioned that your husband is a doctor? He should know all of this if he is.
The costs are all different depending on your location and what exactly needs to be done. Usually upwards of $10,000 and it is not covered by most insurances.
Procedures may vary according to the type of procedure you are having done, meds too are different...
Time frame, well that is a different story as each woman is different and in vitro does not always work for every woman. I know one gal who had in vitro 5 times and still does not have a child.
You will get better more accurate responses by calling fertility clinics in your area.

Thank you for your reply, J_9.
There aren't any fertility clinics in our area, the closest is 2 1/2 hrs away. My husband is a primary care doctor and doesn't deal with "female" issues at all; he mainly treats men, so he is of no help in this department.
I was just looking for some opinions or personal experiences in this area. I know how to get all the facts, but personal experiences are always very helpful... good or bad.

Please visit IVF Connections (http://www.ivfconnections.com), it is an enormous site with so many people, you could read story after story from beginning to end.
I did a shared risk program with SIRM (http://www.haveababy.com) which I considered the best choice, though costs vary hugely depending on clinic, your age, etc. All three of mine were unsuccessful for a some reason, but I know many who became pregnant.
