My fiancé bought a 12-week-old red female mini daschund puppy for me from a kennel. I've had her for about 3 weeks now, and her ribs are still visible. She eats well, but I can't seem to get her to fill out. Any suggestions on what kind of food I should give her?

1 Has the vet verified she doesn't have worms?
2 Is she eating all you give her? If so give her more. Charts are nothing more than starting points. This is the only reliable guide to how much to feed a dog, LongLiveYourDog.com - Life Span Study - Rate Your Dog (http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx)
3 You should be feeding a dry, commercial puppy chow. It is very difficult for the average dog owner to insure the dog is getting a complete and balanced diet any other way. There is nothing richer than a small breed puppy chow.
