HI,

I have done a pregnancy test and it says that I am pregnant but I was told that if you have had sex before then this can be a false answer, is this correct?

I had sex about 24 hours before I done the test and now I am worried that I may not be pregnant, I have been trying for 2 years now.

Many thanks in advance

A line is a line if you want it confirming there is only one place to go and that's the dr's.
Good luck xx

No, having sex before you take a test won't give you a false answer. If you got a positive, you are most likely pregnant. It's a lot less common to get a false positive then it is to get a false negative. Take another test, or (since you will need to start getting prenatal checkups anyways) go see your doctor. Good luck

I would test one more time and go to your dr. if it is still positive. It should stay positive if you took the test correctly and saw the result within 10 minutes. Congratulations
