Hey smart-car-people,

The horn on my 2000 Nissan Xterra just stopped working. I checked all of the fuses and they all are o.k. Does anyone know what the possible problem could be?
Thanks

. Did you check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter? Here's how:

. Did you check your horn relay? Its location may be indicated on the back of one of the fuse box covers.

Nobody knows except the dealer and its made this way so the shade tree can't fix it, So you won't find an answer on Google that works or there would be one. Only the dealer knows, so don't go spending on this and that like I did its at the dealer now and I'm sure its some sensor under the dash, but they won't tell. Good luck

Horns are pretty basic, 12 volts to the relay triggered by the horn ring and horn blows. Either the relay is bad, wire is off or horn is bad. Follow procedure as noted by TGM. I'd go for the relay.
