I would like for someone to be able to answer this question for me. Can anyone tell me how long it will take the depoprovera shot to get out of my system? I had a baby in January of 2006 and started taking the shot in February 2006, I stopped taking the shot in February 2007 so I only took the shot for 1 year. My husband and I are ready to start trying to have another baby and it seems like it will be forever before we will have any signs of a period. Please tell me how long it should take for the shot to get out of my system. Thank you.
I have heard up to 9 months, but it may not take that long. If it takes too long you can see your dr and they have things that can help get you started again. Good luck!

Approximately three months per shot. But- Two-five years to completely wear off in most cases..
It's not abnormal for someone to get pregnant whilst the shot is active or even after it's inactive either.
See your GP for help.
Keep in mind that the depo causes bone deformities such as osteoporosis.
It's not worth taking.
Sending you positive pregnancy vibes.
