Hi, I'm 14 years old and I shotlifted 2 shirts from the jcpenny in virginia.
The shirt I store from jcpenny is cost about 30 dollars.
I get caught and I went to somekind of jc penny office with the officers
They asked my address, phone number. And they took off my shirts to see what I steal from the store. And they called my parents and they came to the jcpenny office.
What they said was I should go to the court and get the community service or something.
I don't care about the community service stuffs
But what I'm worring about is my future and the college.
Is it going to get on my record and effect me when I go to the college?
Or the record is going to disappear when I become 18.
Please answer me.. I'm so in worried...

I am afraid, my friend, you should have thought of that before you pilfered. You say you are l4,then you should have known better.

Did those worries pop into your head while you were shoplifting? You don't seem remorseful for what you did, only that you got caught and how it will affect you.

I doubt a community college would hold it against you, but I wouldn't bother applying to William and Mary.

Were you charged? Was a police report written up?
