Is it acceptable by code to use GFI breakers in the main panel for kitchen counter outlets, or does each receptacle need to be an individual GFI outlet?
I've got 10+ in my new kitchen. Putting in 2 GFI breakers would be much less expensive than 10 GFI receptacles.

Each outlet does not need to be a GFI outlet device. One GFI outlet at the beginning of the circuit can protect the standard outlets downstream of the GFI outlet. Note that each GFI outlet has a Line set of terminals for the feed in, and a Load for feeding other outlets downstream.
Or each circuit can use a GFI breaker, but the downside to using a breaker is when there is a trip you need to go to the breaker to reset, instead of just resetting the outlet.

Thanks, was hoping that was the case. I'll still call the inspector in town to find out which they would rather see before getting a CO on this project.
