Hello, I am new here. I was wondering I am 37 years old. I was on progestrone cream (bioidentical) for 4 years because of endometriois. I had an ablation done at that time as well. The cream was a miracle for me for these past years no endo pain etc.. However, I think my body is changing and with the cream I started brown spotting and periods every 11 to 13 days with blood and brown discharge off and on. Is it possible to be going through perimenopause? Does anyone know if after you have an ablation due and you are one of the lucky ones to still have periods :-( does that lead to an earlier menopause? I have always been very regular. I am now off the cream for about a month now and my cycle is better about 21 days apart instead of 11 days but still brown spotting before period or instead of one. HELP!

At 37 I don't think you would be perimenopause, although every woman is different in that regard. I kind of think the brown discharge is something that will pause because you have gone of, as you say, the cream and your body could be adjusting back to your normal menstruation. If you are still in doubt I would ask your doctor for guidance, But I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks Tickle! I am not worried really about it just wondered if there was anyone out there that went through an ablation of the uterus and had an earlier menopause because of it. also, I went off the cream because I was having the discharge, this started first and the doctor and pharmasist could not get it regulated so i just got frustrated and thought I'd give my body a rest and see if it gets better. :)
