What would be an appropriate amount of money for grandparents to give... Keeping in mind there will be other grandchildren graduating in the future?

Happy, it really is whatever you can afford to do. That being said, I had a Great Uncle who had a lot of money but used to give everyone $5. Graduation, birthdays, Christmas. $5. LOL. Please don't do THAT!

What can you comfortably afford? $25, $50, $100, $200? If your grandchild is a decent kid, whatever you give will be appreciated.

You may want to get creative and give a handmade "gift card" committing yourself to buying cookware, a set of dishes, or something tangible that will be needed for when the graduate sets up his/her own apartment.

Or, you can always give the usual graduation gift of a beautiful watch, a ring with their birth stone, or a bracelet, with an inscription, with love from Grandma,. Since I don't know if it is a boy or girl, I am just throwing out generic ideas.

I hope this helps.

:) Thanks for the input it at least gives me some idea in what direction to go. He is a great kid, I think the money and the handmade gift are right up my alley.
