Compressor heating= low charge,over charge,dirty coils, low voltage,bad capacitor,bad start kit, short cycling,defective expansion device, bad windings/megger test to confirm.. To name just a few

Loss of lube= To long a line set, improper line set install,wrong line set size, lack of trap depending upon evaporator location,overcharge causing washing of oil out of compressor. And more

Broken compressor valves. Liquid charge instead of vapor with out supervision,low suction pressure,low discharge pressure,low amp draw. Liquid flood back in suction line and more.
