I'm sure after the Senate passes their version of the big ugly bill ;and a conference committee irons out the differences ;Congress will be heading off for a summer vacation.
They worked so hard this session . Here are the bills that Trump has signed .It is easy to list because there are so few of them .
There are a few that rolled back Clueless Joe's regulations (or whoever was operating the autopen . ) The Congressional Review Act allowed this with simple majority votes .One reversed a fee on methane emissions . One blocked a rule that required oil and gas companies operating offshore to submit detailed archaeological surveys. One overturned a revised rule from the IRS that expanded the definition of a broker to include decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges.
They sent a stop gap spending bill for Trump to sign .
They passed the Laken Riley Act ;and Trump signed this week the 'Take it Down Act' that Melania Trump championed to stop on line revenge porn.
That's it. This was the fewest laws signed by a President at the beginning of a term in over 70 years. Both the Senate and the House and the Executive are under Repub control . Besides an unprecedented slew of E Os they have squandered their opportunity so far. Remember ;EOs can be reversed by the stroke of the autopen by the next administration. Congressional law is harder to reverse.
