I am in a bad relationship at the moment but I have found out that a lad at my workplace likes me and I feel the same should I give it a go or stay in the relationship I am in

It is up to you. Before you decide one way or another. Find out exactly what you want to do and let the one that your with know it is over, before you start seeing somebody else.

Go with your instinct. There is no guarantees. No matter what.

Well, for starters, if you're in a bad relationship, you need to get out of that NOW before anything really bad happens. That itself has nothing to do with a relationship with anyone else. After you get yourself out of something you don't want to be stuck in, then you're a free woman and you can do whatever you want to do.

I would say to get out of the bad relationhip and make sure you are clear and free of that bad relationship. Do not use the prospect of hooking up with another guy to get you out of this bad relationship. That behavior seldom works the way one wants for the long term.

Second, once you get out of this relationship, give yourself some time before going after another guy. You need to stop and find out why you were in such a relationship, what went bad about it, why you stayed, and what behaviors of your own led to the demise of this relationship. So you need to get your head straight. The last thing you need to bring to another relationship is BAGGAGE. Old relationships, especially ones that you have not learned from, are baggage.

Third, I would stay away from the workplace romance. The guy might be cute and he might like you. But those office romances - they get known all over the company - everyone will know what you do, what he does, what you say, what he says and when something goes wrong - the whole place knows about it. Often people feel like they have to take sides - because they are being recruited for sympathy. Been there, done that and please do not do that. For your own well being.
