Seems people can't get enough of "smashed " beef burgers (burgers flattened on the grill with the back of a spatula searing the meat and creating crispy edges, while locking in the juices.)

It just doesn't work with fake meat .

Ventures like vegetable-based "meat" products don't bother me as long as the government is not invested in them. If private companies want to market them and consumers want to buy them, then it's fine with me. I don't really care if they make it or not. I've tried the burgers and they were better than I expected, but the price was ridiculous.
