I have a miniature male daschund and a female miniature daschund. The female is 2.5 years old and he is 8months old. I had no problems toilet training the female, but the male I am going nowhere with. They have been trained exactly the same but he continues to have accidents, and I mean accidents! He will go into the garden for 10 to 15mins and the moment he sets foot into the house he will go to the toilet, for either or! I have tried puppy pads, newspaper, scalding, praising, taking out ever ten minutes, lead training, treat training, clicker training, he also goes to dog training and even their recommmendations have failed. Does anyone have any ideas of where I go with this? Many Thanks

You need to learn to read when he needs to go. Although it is meant for younger puppies, the material in the housebreaking section of the sticky should help, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/information-articles-our-dogs-expert-labman-53153.html#post251809 When you feel he is ready to go, take him outside on leash. Keep him moving except for when he stops to sniff. At 8 months it is safe to allow him access to tress, mailbox posts, and the classic fire hydrant in public places. Eventually he will relieve himself. Then praise him. If it really is a housebreaking issue, that should work.
If it is marking, he must be neutered if not already. Then careful watching and crating him when you can't along with the training you refer to doing should stop it. You may have to fall back on more negative methods.
