Illegal aliens cross into the into this national forest by the thousands trampling vegetation and leaving trash in their wake. Here is a public saftey posting by the National Park Service for the 3 million acre Gila National Forest .
Illegal border crossers have been suspected of running drugs, injuring government employees and causing major wildfires. Besides carrying ammunition and guns, they also can carry tents, propane cylinders and other flammable agents. Improperly used these items can be sources of ignition causing forest fires. These illegal inhabitants can become dangerous if they feel threatened and should be avoided.
Marijuana plots and methamphetamine labs have become frequent sites in our forests. Those responsible for these illegal plots or labs are dangerous and should be avoided. If visitors inadvertently come upon these sites they should immediately depart the area and report the sighting to law enforcement officers. The chemicals used to grow or produce these illegal products can be highly combustible and pose considerable risk to hazards caused by fire and explosion.

.It has become a route for drug runners and human traffickers .
So what keeps the government up at night ?......
150 feral cows roaming Gila Forest .....and because they “pose a significant threat to public safety and natural resources.”,the government is going to shoot to kill.
Gila National Forest - News & Events (usda.gov) (https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/gila/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD1090021)
The hunt will be done with helicopters .
The slaughtered cows will be "dispatched "then "left onsite to naturally decompose" but they "will ensure no carcasses are adjacent to or in any waterbody or spring, designated hiking trail, or known culturally sensitive area."
Last year there was a similar government hunt. Predictably the results were shoddy.
The cattle are not technically feral . They are descendants of domestic cattle legally grazed on Federal lands . They intermingled with other branded domestic stock . Last year some of the cattle were shot but not killed receiving injuries that prolonged suffering and when they ultimately died they died where they were in the spring beds and other sensitive areas the government was trying to protect.
The hunt this year will leave 65 tons of good beef left to rot in the forest. For the cost of the hunters pay and the helicopter rides the government could contract professionals to round up the cattle to use for public and private charitable distribution. That would be a win win. The government's concern about 150 random cattle trampling the grasslands in a 3 million acre forest would be addressed ;and some needy people would get to eat some good steaks .

Why not round them up?

Yes! Round up those criminal illegals!!s (Have a funny feeling that's not what you intended, but it's still what should be done.)

Round up the feral cattle and put them in safe pastures. Then put me in charge of the southern border.
jlisenbe
Feb 27, 2023, 11:42 AM
Then put me in charge of the southern border.I think that's already been done.
But yeah, let's round up those life-threatening cows and let the illegal drug running and human trafficking continue. After all, it's only human beings suffering and dying as a result.

I think that's already been done.
No, I didn't receive any executive order yet.
But yeah, let's round up those life-threatening cows and let the illegal drug running and human trafficking continue. After all, it's only human beings suffering and dying as a result.
And the feral cows are descendants of farmers' herds. If shot, killed, and left to rot, that's 65 tons of meat going to waste

I'm just amazed that you're concerned about a few tons of meat and yet have no comment about illegal immigrants who are importing illegal drugs, setting the woods on fire, threatening legal citizens, and forcing women into the sex trade. It's just kind of like, "Yawn. What else is in the news today?"

I've already said my piece on other threads.

Sure you have. It's just the liberal mindset. "Thou shalt not speak ill of illegal immigrants, even when they are killing Americans." It's incredible.
Wondergirl
Feb 27, 2023, 02:42 PM
Apparently you don't remember my very doable ideas to clean up the border and control the flow of immigrants. At the time, obsessed by wall-building, you said my ideas were impossible and that a wall must be built forthwith!!!
jlisenbe
Feb 27, 2023, 03:06 PM
We're not talking about the wall. We are talking about illegals so taking over a national park that law-abiding citizens have to be warned about them. It's ridiculous. They traffic in illegal drugs and human beings, but you can't be bothered to comment about it. Just terrible.

If Trump had built more than 50 feet of that wall you adore, there'd be no problem, right?

If Trump had built more than 50 feet of that wall you adore, there'd be no problem, right? You do realize that Trump built several hundred miles of border wall (more than 50 feet), so your observation is completely ridiculous??? Mr. Biden, on the other hand, is actually the one to build less than fifty feet of wall.
This is just too good!! You've made my day.

I was pulling your leg. *giggle*
And how many miles of wall did Trump NOT build?

I was pulling your leg. *giggle*Yeah. You always say that right after posting something dumb.
And how many miles of wall did Trump NOT build? The same amount Biden has NOT built. The difference is that Trump actually DID build over four hundred miles of wall.

Yeah. You always say that right after posting something dumb.
You are soooooo easy!
The same amount Biden has NOT built. The difference is that Trump actually DID build over four hundred miles of wall.
We aren't talking about Biden. Please stay on topic. Again I ask you, "And how many miles of wall did Trump NOT build?"

We aren't talking about Biden. Please stay on topic. Again I ask you, "And how many miles of wall did Trump NOT build?"I don't blame you. If I was you, I wouldn't want to talk about the only one of the two to build less than fifty feet of wall. And your question, as you well know, is totally ridiculous and unanswerable.

Ah, as I figured. You don't know.

And you refuse to answer a question I easily googled the answer for? Shame!Yeah. I can tell by the way you posted the answer so quickly. At any rate, I don't care. I do know who the guy was who built more than 50 feet of wall.

The US border with Mexico is now controlled by narco-terrorists .
Associated Press:
Gunmen kidnapped four U.S. citizens who crossed into Mexico from Texas last week to buy medicine and got caught in a shootout that killed at least one Mexican citizen, U.S. and Mexican officials said Monday. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Monday that the four were going to buy medicine and ended up in the crossfire between two armed groups. U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ken Salazar said in a statement Monday that the Americans were kidnapped at gunpoint and that an “innocent” Mexican citizen died in the attack. He did not offer any additional details, but said various U.S. justice agencies were working with their Mexican counterparts to recover the missing U.S. citizens. Authorities have provided no other details about who the victims were or where they were from .

Flashback 1916-17 . Another Mexican terrorist was operating on the border between US and lawless Mexico. His name was Pancho Villa.
.
An increasing number of border incidents early in 1916 culminated in an invasion of American territory on 8 March, when Francisco (Pancho) Villa and his band of 500 to 1,000 men raided Columbus, New Mexico. Elements of the 13th Cavalry repulsed the attack, but there were 24 American casualties (14 military, 10 civilian). Immediate steps were taken to organize a punitive expedition of about 10,000 men under Brig. Gen. John J. Pershing to capture Villa. The 7th, 10th, 11th, and 13th Cavalry regiments, 6th and 16th Infantry regiments, part of the 6th Field Artillery, and supporting elements crossed the border into Mexico in mid-March, followed later by the 5th Cavalry, 17th and 24th Infantry regiments, and engineer and other units.

100,000+ Americans were killed in a single year from fentanyl that crossed into the US from Mexico with the hordes of illegal border crashers . This is equal to the casualty rate that we had in WWII .
We went to Afghanistan after 9-11 to hunt down the terrorists who attacked us . Shouldn't such an effort be made to take out the narco terrorists who attack us ?

100,000+ Americans were killed in a single year from fentanyl that crossed into the US from Mexico with the hordes of illegal border crashers .The total in just a few years will rival that of Covid, but such is the government we now have. It's tragic that liberals, who claim to care about people, see this and yawn, being totally unconcerned since it is a dem pres who is allowing it all to happen. Now if Trump was the pres, then their voices would be loud. It's that double-standard that I dislike.

2 of the 4 abducties were murdered . The other 2 "rescued " ,one had a gun shot wound. They crossed the US border into Matamoros to get cosmetic surgery done cheaper . The city of Matamoros ;on the US border , is controlled by the narco-terrorist Gulf Cartel. IMO Mexico is a failed state controlled by terrorists ;and the US should consider that in any future dealings with Mexico. There was some hope when Trump was President and Felipe Calderon was Mexio's President . But Mexico is now run by Andrés Manuel López Obrador’ (AMLO) and democracy is rapidly crumbling under his regime

Her take of the fentanyl deaths in the US
Q Thanks, Karine. So cartels kill Americans on this side of the border with drugs, and now they’re killing Americans on the other side of the border with guns. Why is President Biden so comfortable with cartels operating so close to the U.S.?
MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Well, let’s be very clear. Let me take on the drug part here because — since you brought this up.
Because of the work that this President has done, because of what we’ve done specifically on fentanyl at the border, it’s at historic lows — historic levels that we have been able to record a number of personnel working to secure the border because of what we’ve been able to do, seizing that fentanyl. We’ve done it in a historic way. That’s because of what this President has done.

These people lie so frequently and casually that it no longer shocks us as it should.
Both overall drug overdoses and specifically fentanyl overdoses leaped in 2020 and 2021, the most recent years available, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics (https://nida.nih.gov/research-topics/trends-statistics/overdose-death-rates). USAFacts summarized (https://nida.nih.gov/research-topics/trends-statistics/overdose-death-rates), “In 2021, 70,601 people died from a fentanyl overdose in the US. That figure is up 25 percent from 2020 and is nearly double the amount of fentanyl overdose deaths in 2019… Fentanyl overdose deaths in 2021 were over 26 times higher than a decade prior.” Elsewhere the site concludes (https://usafacts.org/articles/opioid-addiction-deaths-and-treatment-latest-analysis-data/), “fentanyl stands out for an 800 percent increase in overdose deaths in just four years.”
