which means the rate of inflation was slightly less than the month before . It was NOT ZERO In fact it was 8.5% ;still an incredibly high number .

For it to be zero % would mean a period of depression like deflation .

lol who is writng his speeches ? He is in serious need of a competent one . He could've used the word zero if his claim was that consumer prices rose 0% last month . But that is not what he said .

It is worse however when you break the numbers down .The biggest factor was gas prices dropped. Core inflation numbers that exclude energy and food prices increased 0.3 % .

He's talking to the American people ;and they know what they paid for necessities before he took office and what they pay now. It is not pretty

He is attempting the same maneuver with inflation that he is with gas prices. First they were allowed to increase greatly, and then a modest decrease is celebrated as amazing news. All liberal dems eat this up with great relish. It's nothing more than a political maneuver to make the situation look a little more palatable in November. Given the dull state of the American electorate, it will probably work to some extent. At least he can fall back of the expertly orchestrated withdrawal from Afghanistan. No...wait.
