Rosy the riveter sticks out in a lot of peoples mind if they were born in the 40s. Isn't it funny how that happens, sublimal advertising didn't happen then, but whatever it was, the lovely face, the cause, or whatever, she sure made an impact !

The face, the cause, the clothes, her smile; all for the GI's and the USA! She typified every woman who went to work during WWII. Despite the rations, despite the shortages, despite the lights out rules, there was a unity. We would never get that again.
Hats off to Rosie!
