I took the ear tire off to fix a flat. I didn't know about any pattern for the wheel key. I just put a washer on the back and then the wheel and 2 more washers and a key just slipped on. Does it go a certain way or did I put something else on wrong?

If you slipped it into the axle slot, that matched the wheel slot your good to go. Are you having a particular problem with the operation after fixing the flat?
