Donald Trump, the man who never did a good thing for any other soul in his life, the youth who developed a case of Sudden Onset Bone Spurs when the Vietnam draft rolled around but who was miraculously cured again once the threat of draft was over, the man who is regularly sent into a rage by the smallest of criticisms, the man whose signature headstyle is a decades-long battle to hide a receding hairline, the man who has not so much as held a press conference for over a year due to his crippling fear that reporters will ask unpleasant questions, says (https://www.apnews.com/27431e0cf11d4f53b6152754818d824c) he probably would have saved your dead children, America. And we now have a new greatest lie ever told (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/26/trump-claims-he-would-run-into-high-school-during-florida-shooting.html?__source=sharebar%7Ctwitter&par=sharebar).
"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon," the president told a meeting of state governors at the White House.
For the record, the list of things Donald Trump has been frightened of include, as far as we can tell, garden steps; tame eagles; reporters; networks other than Fox News; criticism; what America's porn stars have to say about him; and a stiff Florida breeze. The man regularly opines on the need for stiffer laws to protect himself from people insulting him; the evidence he is going to go a-serpentining into a spray of bullets is vanishingly small, compared to the evidence he might, say, sell Alaska to the Russians for three Big Macs and a picture of himself in a Russian magazine.

I'm not holding my breathe that any lawmaker will do anything to make positive changes. They are good at running out the clock until the latest outcry dies down, and it's back to the AGENDA or what THEY want. So far all we have are declarations and sound bites, scandals and disasters.

Hi smoothy, let me take issue with your caption
The Greatest Lie Ever Told
I don't think it has been told yet, however that Trump should dare to suggest he has the heroism of a first respondor, the man has no morals and demonstrates once again what an idiot he is. Is he competing with Putin and wanted a bare chested display? All we saw was how over stuffed his gut is

Clete... I forgot where it is but elsewhere this past week I saw a posted photo of an article in the NYTimes where Trump confronted and ran off a Mugger with a ball bat years ago. He's not the coward the people on the left try to make him out to be. They play from the "when you have nothing...you make stuff up" rulebook.
I have some VERY left wing friends in the Vancouver area, who absolutely can't stand Trudeau because the Frenchie separatists are who put him in office. not the rest of the country.

" the man who never did a good thing for any other soul in his life" - you can't know that.
Of course, I can. Anybody can. Just watch him these past years. He completely lacks any sense of empathy. It's part of his mental disability.
"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon," the president told a meeting of state governors at the White House." - You don't know that he wouldn't have.
Of course, I know that. He's the biggest blowhard in the history of the US presidency. Do you deny that?

It just when you make statements based on conjecture, it weakens the argument in my humble opinion.
I've never not voted for the Conservative agenda but in 2016 I did not. It was a big decision for me because I take pride in my vote. I still voted, just not for President (note - I would never vote for Hillary or a democrat). Trump is too divisive for my tastes. But he has done pretty well for the economy thus far. This economy and it's outlook is far better than the socialism we had for the past 8 years.
And why does everything have to be so political. I remember a time when comedians were funny, singers sang songs, actors acted, and school children went to school. It's exhausting to watch the news nowadays.

Statements based on years and years of facts are what supports conjecture and strengthens the argument, not weakens it. That's how logic and rational thought processes work.
I would never vote for ...... a democrat).
Revealing, and spoken like a true ideologue - a mindless position eliminating all future possibilities. Now your humble opinion is not so humble, is it?
But he has done pretty well for the economy thus far.
Any economic growth is the result of 8 years of Obama fixing what the Republicans mismanaged in the first place. Trump's numbers simply continue what his predecessor started. Even Republican economists agree to that. It is frightening how ignorant conservatives are about the economy.
This economy and it's outlook is far better than the socialism we had for the past 8 years.
What Trump has done so far is grant a huge windfall to the wealthy while claiming it is for the middle class. Another whopper of a lie! By "socialism" I presume you mean the bailouts begun by Bush Jr BEFORE Obama took office. Your far-right crowd didn't call it socialism when Bush did it - only when Obama continued the exact same process. Then you changed your tune. Is it any wonder the Republicans are a failed party? Led by a madman?
And why does everything have to be so political. I remember a time when comedians were funny, singers sang songs, actors acted, and school children went to school. It's exhausting to watch the news nowadays.

yes I recall that incident when he pursued the bat wielding mugger .
The Ellis Island Medals of Honor embody the spirit of America in their celebration of patriotism, tolerance, brotherhood and diversity. They recognize individuals who have made it their mission to share with those less fortunate their wealth of knowledge, indomitable courage, boundless compassion, unique talents and selfless generosity; all while maintaining the traditions of their ethnic heritage as they uphold the ideals and spirit of America. As always, NECO remains dedicated to the maintenance and restoration of America’s greatest symbol of its immigrant history, Ellis Island.

I vote for the platform, which was very difficult in 1996 when it was Dole and in 2008 when it was McCain. 2016 I just couldn't in good conscious vote for Trump.
"If you long for the days when it was all singing and dancing, and regret all the troublesome news, then leave the well-being of your country when it is in serious danger to those who are not afraid to withstand the heat in the kitchen."
You are misrepresenting what I said, a la CNN & MSNBC. But that is fine, since we both recognize that with the media it's not about reporting the news, it's about making the news.

He probably was a better guy back in the day, you guys do this stuff all the time . McCain was a favorite until he became the candidate . Then the left mercilessly trashed and demonized him . Then he lost and again became the Libs favorite Repubic . Trump singlehandedly desegregated Palm Beach when he sued the city to allow Blacks and Jews into the formerly segregated Mar A Lago. He paid to ensure a Mexican boy would get a college education when he found out the mother was terminally ill. He sent his plane full of special medical equipment to fly an ill Jewish boy for treatment when he found out no airline would do it .
All you know is the attacks by the drones at CNN and MSNBC .

John McCain has been a favorite of mine for MANY decades, along with Orin Hatch, before he got old a senile, and there have been others over the years. I don't make my choices according to CNN or anybody else, so don't lump me in with the sheeple please. This is a hyper-partisan tribal time Tom, but make no mistake about my disgust for The Dufus. That doesn't come from TV news either, it comes from what he does and says and how he does it.
He is a lying, cheating, racist, bully, and a BIG DUFUS. If you don't know, just remember I told you so. Nothing personal.
Heck Tom even you can't keep up with all the scandals from his year in office! His son in law can't even get a clearance to keep viewing classified information! I suppose that's fake news to, along with the statement about he hasn't authorized his intel agencies to stop Vlad from messing in our elections! I know more fake news.

he hasn't authorized his intel agencies to stop Vlad from messing in our elections! What does that even mean ? He needs to give them specific instructions ? Tell them to stop the pajama boys ? The emperor knew for a long time about Russian activities . He waited until way after the election to do anything .
Dan Coats ,Adm Rogers ,Mike Pompeo ,Rex Tillerson and FBI chief Wray have all testified about what Russian activities they know of and what they assume the Russians will try to do . Pompeo testified that they(CIA) will "push back" in a way to ensure the Russians don't have a great impact .
We need to make a real effort to beef up cyber security across the board . But as usual ;your side's hatred of Trump has clouded your eyes from the real cyber threat .The Chinese have been much more active in all aspects of cyber warfare against us and we have willingly let them infiltrate or infrastructure both public and private .

I think all this means is you don't understand the game. All this cyber stuff is for milleniels. Sure older people use Facebook and Twitter, etc but few understand the real power of it. It is doubtful that Russians having social media accounts made the best use of them. Obama made good use of it but Trump, well who knows.
But cyber attacks, deniel of service attacks, well, this is the stuff of esponage and all they have done is prove the possibility and wait the appropriate moment

Think this stuff never happened before Trump got elected? Think again. Its been going on for a long, long time. Talk to the admin of any moderately or more popular website and they will concur having had to deal with the very same thing. You don't have to take the word of any mostly clueless "journalist" or talking head on tv.

The question is not that it is happening, but what do you do about it. Doesn't matter if you are business that gets hacked or a government. There seems to be a lot piling up on The Dufus's plate as he hollers and screams about what everybody else didn't do. He is the commander in chief so he calls the shots. While his administration is rocked daily by scandal and incompetence and outright theft, he has no clue.
Like he blows up tweeter with his BS, blow up Vlad. Shame to pick on citizens and be afraid of another bully.

Blame Trump for stuff Obama lacked the intellectual capacity to address for the 8 years he was in office. Perhaps Trump was responsible for the Clintons via their slush fund/charity for paying millions of dollars to the Russians for what, fake evidence via the Dossier work of fiction?, And for Obama and Hillary selling 20% of our Uranium reserves to the EVIL Russians via Uranium One deal...yeah....clear how much the Libs really love the Russians, not hate them.

Paraclete (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/members/paraclete.html) your painting with that broad brush again. There are many of us older folks that do understand exactly what is going on. They are already tightening the strings to make the internet safer by insuring that all websites have the https heading or they will stop functioning. Much of the problem we have is the crickets chirping when something happens rather then announcing what had happened and when. Sometimes we dont hear about it for months. There was a major major breach with a information holding company and they almost covered it up. That is how these people and others are getting away with it for now. The next step is what is going to happen to crypto currency. Keep your eyes peeled for changes some of which you might not like.

I am professional enough to use a 6" brush and not drip the paint. I have the opinion that crypto currency is a gyp so if it is banned that would be a good thing, I also think this Russian interference thing is a fishing expedition, a diversion. I use a spray painter, but a brush helps put the finishing touches on a big job done rather quickly and easily, sometimes. I use to do it with brushes and rollers myself, before I found a better, easier way. You would be surprised at the savings to time, and material, but you will appreciate a lot more time for OTHER stuff.

Yes, I note Dump has changed the subject again, but he keeps shooting himself in the foot. He has forgotten there are trade agreements in place. He should repudiate all american trade agreements and start again, tariffs may be the way to balance the budget. Sure you can. Tape, plastic sheets, and drop clothes over the furniture works quite well, as for the Trump ideas on trade, PURE DUMB! Tariffs will only bring a rise in prices passed on to consumers that will have a domino effects across the board that will affect OUR best trade partners a lot more than it will China.

Yes but Dump doesn't have the same opinion, you know it is a little like the film Demolition Man, the poor people live underground and dine on rat prepared by an illegal immigrant, the rich dine in Taco Bell and live under the protection of a benevolent leader who has got everything worked out and sycophant flunkies to do his bidding. Let me put it this way tal last time I saw that done we wound up using a roller to smooth out the paint after spraying, I can have the job done while I 'm stuffing about trying to make sure no overspray, etc. cutting in takes the time anyway.
You are right about tariffs, they are an ineffective mechanism for protecting industries but unions and inefficient manufacturers love them, but Dump isn't a student of history and as he only listens to his own opinion, he has made the same mistake as Bush. You have to target the dumpers with tariffs, but China is a small part of supply to the US, so Dump is definitely targeting his allies, particularly NAFTA. It just more of the beggar my neighbour philosophy that the US has relied on in trade for yonks
