Hi. I conceived on Nov 2, 2015. On third month scan it was found that my baby has Neural tube defect. We have no option and I aborted (vaginal delivery) my baby on Feb 15, 2016. My periods date for preceding months are March 24, April 22, May 23. Usually periods lasts for 3 to 4 days. But from May 23rd I had it for more than seven days. Soon I got periods on June 7 (had it for 5 days) and June 19 to present. No pain, sickness or menstrual cramps.
Is I'm having PCOS? I'm asking it because, when I went for ultrasound scan they said, "I'm alright. But ovulation is not happening to me since after 15 days of my periods. This may or may not happen in every cycles. There "may be" a chance of PCOS".
Still I'm not relieve from the lose of my first baby. I want to get pregnant again. Please guide me and give me a positive reply.

While having irregular cycles can be a part of PCOS, it does not automatically mean that you have PCOS. More would need to be checked out to make that determination. Some women will just have an occasional off cycle now and then. Ovulation most often occurs about 12-16 days before a next period is due, regardless of how long your cycle may be... however, some women will naturally ovulate sooner, and some later than this, and occasionally it can be off from your norm as well. Learn of ways that you can best monitor for likely ovulation at home.

Since you are trying to become pregnant again, I would see your gynecologist for a pre-pregnancy visit. You can discuss your history and concerns, and your doctor may decide whether further testing may be in order.

In the meantime, keep in mind that it can take many months to become pregnant sometimes, so continue to engage in frequent intercourse (every 2-3 days) if possible. Good luck... hopefully it won't be too much longer!
